Submitting a report of a pest or disease is the most productive way of contributing to the community. Your report can alert other members to potential problems. In addition, you can discuss your problems with members of the community from your region. This is a great way to find advice and meet other members.
Alternatively, To report an incident in your area please send an email to BarkBeetles@ifas.ufl.edu.
In your email, please include:
- Your location including country and region
- Some details about the forest management (plantation or natural forest?)
- Which trees are being affected?
- Example pictures of the affected woodland
- What are the symptoms of the affected trees?
- Have you seen any insects, fungi, or obvious signs of disease?
- When did the symptoms first appear?
- Which contact details would you like shared with other members to discuss your report?
This information is then shared via our network including a LinkedIn group and Twitter. Other members can see the information and contact you directly and give you specialist advice.
