Asian Forest Health News is a project run by Simon Ernstsons who is a Forest Entomology Researcher. Simon is originally from the UK but now spends his time between China and the USA. His research focusses on invasive pest species, particularly wood-boring beetles such as ambrosia beetles, bark beetles, longhorn beetles (Cerambycidae), and jewel beetles (Buprestidae). Simon is responsible for producing and sharing the content for the news site and through the various group platforms. Many other individuals are responsible for helping to generate content. This includes individuals and research institutions in the USA, UK, China, and Southeast Asia. We hope that by promoting the sharing of news and research we can protect our forests from emerging pests and diseases.
The aim of the network is to connect researchers, students, and professional foresters who are interested in forest health, forest pests, and emerging diseases. News shared on the groups is recent news, articles, and resources.
